Antioxidant Activity

Microhydrin® is a unique nanocolloidal silicate mineral, a compound of silica and hydrogen anions that contain loosely bound extra electrons. The extra elelctrons are freely given to neutralize free radicals, rendering them harmless. Microhydrin® is unique because hydrogen, being the smallest element, can provide trillions of these electrons in each capsule or each serving of powder.

Free radicals are unstable toxic compounds generated by everyday metabolic processes. The presence of these compounds is normal; however, poor eating habits, pollution, stress and other factors have led to a dangerous increase in the number of free radicals created by our bodies. An unhealthy diet, full of processed foods high in fat or sugar, toxins in the air we breathe, and present-day stresses all leads to an increase in free radical production.

Free radicals, created through oxidation, are compounds that have lost an electron. They travel through the body, stealing electrons from vital tissues. Normal, healthy cells are damaged, as molecules are forced to surrender their electron to a free radical. This can impair the intracellular DNA and RNA, cell membranes, and numerous other important olecules in the cellular environment. Damage caused by free radicals is closely linked to many degenerative diseases.

Microhydrin® has been proven to be an incredibly potent antioxidant. A double-blind crossover study has shown that Microhydrin® protects the body from free radical damage. While on a regimen of 4 capsules of Microhydrin® a day for two weeks, patients showed a 43% increase in free radical protection as compared to the placebo group. Further studies revealed that Microhydrin® has the ability to scavenge the superoxide radical and hydroxyl radical, the most dangerous of oxygen free radicals.^2,3

Your Biological Terrain

With proper biological terrain, the body can exercise its amazing capacity to restore itself. One component of a healthy biological terrain is pH balance. A pre-clinical trial showed that in eight patients, saliva pH and urine pH both showed improvement over a period of 18 days supplementing with 4 capsules of Microhyrdrin® per day.⁴

Cellular Hydration

A double-bind placebo controlled study was conducted on eight patients receiving 4 capsules of Microhydrin® per day for two weeks and then crossed over receiving 4 capsules per day of a placebo for two weeks. This study showed that while on the Microhydrin® supplement, both extracellular and intracellular hydration improved.¹ Extracellular water is the fluid that bathes the cells and intracellular water is the fluid inside the cell. Intracellular hydration is an indicator of cell integrity.

Cellular Absorption And Detoxification

The water we drink from the tap differs substantially from the water which bathes the tissue and cells in our bodies. Tap water has a surface tension of approximately 73 dynes. The water around our cells has a surface tension of approximately 45 dynes. It is necessary, therefore, that the body reduce the surface tension of water we consume in order for nutrients to pass through cell walls, and for toxins to pass out of the cells.

Microhydrin® in water expedites this process. It reduces surface tension of the fluids, which accompany the foods and supplements in our diet. The laboratory at Environmental/Invironmental Technology (EIT) reports that one capsule of Microhydrin® (250mg) added to 8 oz. of purified water reduced the surface tension and increases conductivity. An optimal level of conductivity in body fluids can be determined as the reciprocal of the resistivity measured, in the BTA described above.

The negative hydride ions in Microhydrin® alter the water consumed with the food and supplements in our diet, to have a lower surface tension and an increased conductivity. A low surface tension in the extra cellular fluids is also important in the removal of toxins from the cells and into venous blood for removal from the body. For this reason highly toxic individuals should use only modest amounts of Microhydrin®, (1 to 2 capsules per day) to prevent rapid detoxification and the associated symptoms.

Cellular Conductivity

Virtually every action that takes place in the body requires communications of chemical messages from one cell to another conducted by electrons passing through extracellular fluids. An optimal level of conductivity in these fluids is essential to life and all activity. Microhydrin®, because of its abundant supply of negative ions, substantially increases the conductivity of dietary water consumed.

Negative Hydrogen Ions and Their Role In Body Fluids

The consumption of oxidized foods and beverages tend to affect unfavorably the chemical characteristics of the body fluids. Many foods and beverages are highly oxidized and devoid of electrons.

Likewise, the addition to one's diet of negative hydrogen ions, which are found to be especially high in organically grown vegetables, tends to affect the body fluids in a favorable manner.

Increasing negative hydrogen ions in the body fluids by the intake of foods or supplements high in electrons, tend to move those fluids toward an ORP and pH in a range consistent with good health.

Consumption of Microhydrin®

Increased absorption of nutrients may also be accompanied by increased absorption of medications. Individuals who are on prescription medications should consult their physician, and monitor their response to their medication. Physicians of some individuals using Microhyding® have found it advisable to reduce dosages. Microhydrin® should always be taken with at least eight ounces of water.

Energy Production

We all know that our bodies need an adequate supply of oxygen to survive; however, few people realize the important role that hydrogen plays in our health. Nutrient Absorption

One capsule of Microhydrin® in a glass of water reduces the surface tension of water from 73 dynes to 45 dynes. This gives ordinary water the same surface tension as normal, healthy extracellular fluid. This is important because when the water you drink becomes more like your extracellular fluid, your body's ability to absorb nutrients is greatly improved. Your cells are constantly taking in nutrients for use and flushing out toxins for elimination. Proper surface tension greatly enhances the efficiency of these cellular reactions.

Safety

Microhydrin® consists of natural source minerals. Once it is consumed, it releases negative hydrogen ions, normally found in fresh organic fruits and vegetables, to provide the life energy that is missing from our modern diets. We need these electrons to function properly on the cellular level and to maintain a healthy biological terrain. Toxicity tests performed by an independent lab show safety up to 5 gm/kg of body weight. This is far above the suggested dosage, indicationg that Microhydrin® is extremely safe.

Suggested use of capsules: One capsule daily for two days then increase slowly to one to two capsules twice daily. Do not take without water.

Each capsule contains: Microhydrin® 300 mg, rice flour and magnesium stearate.

Suggested use of powder: Sprinkle 1 scoop in 8 ounces of water with each meal. Do not use without 8 ounces of beverage or food.

Each scoop of powder contains: Microhydrin® 600 mg.
